In collaboration with musician Novo Amor and Indigenous filmmaker Kynan Tegar, filmed with the Sungai Utik Iban community in West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Studio 30FOR supported Studio Birthplace in the strategic and creative development of Earth Defender: a music-film that honours Indigenous land defenders and the urgent fight to protect the world’s remaining forests.
Our contribution included defining the impact narrative, shaping partner engagement, and guiding launch communications to connect the film’s artistic vision with advocacy outcomes, including support for the AMAN petition defending Indigenous rights in Indonesia.
Premiering at COP29 and the Climate × Culture Forum, Earth Defender stands as a testament to the power of storytelling to mobilise empathy, attention, and action.
